Our Idea Value Target is a site dedicated to displaying products and for fee services that is not only easy for the user but for the store administrator as well. As a store administrator you can have multiple stores and banner campaigns. You set the store service as Free, Featured, or Sponsored, or banners are hosted on your site and displayed on ours but are funded by you as impressions. As a visitor you have the option to change your currency view, sort the category products by price and have multiple search options the find your Targeted products. How We Do It We schedule a data feed read on a daily basis to keep our listings fresh and provide recent information. The store data feeds are located on the store site itself and can be in the form of Froogle, Yahoo Shopping, our custom delimited feed, or our Custom XML feed. Upon the daily read we include any new products that are included on the feed, update the existing products in our database and delete any products that are in our database but not in the data feed. If you do not have pictures for your products then our "No Image Available" picture will be used until you can include one. Additionally you can specify the currency to calculate the product. If your product price is in British Sterling Pounds (GBP) then those that have selected to view US Dollars (USD) will see the exchange rate for your product. The exchange rate is updated on a nightly basis for current information and accuracy. Data Feeds Value Target provides the ability to read any existing Yahoo Shopping or Google data feed. Instead of you going to them we come to you. This departure means you can keep your pricing and offerings up-to-date on a daily basis. These can be easily handled through our custom data feeds, in either tab delimited or XML based.If your preparing your data feeds by hand or even automatically the tab delimited (which can be pipe or tilde delimited) may be the best for you. If you use a php script to generate your feeds the custom XML data feed is the feed of choice as it's quicker to download and include. Below are the basic formatted sheets files. |
